Hans Peter Fayé

Hans Peter Fayé, who came to Hawaii in 1880, first worked as a field hand on a Maui sugar plantation but established his true island roots on Kauai as an independent sugar planter and then manager of Kauai’s Kekaha Sugar Company. Kikiaola Land Company, Limited, made up of descendants of Hans Peter Fayé, has, over the years, devoted itself to retaining the culture and unique quality of life of the Waimea area.
